But what is Irish cream, we hear you ask? It’s a liqueur made with Irish whiskey and cream with an ABV usually ranging between 15% and 20%.
Baileys is the most popular example of an Irish cream but a great alternative is Cotswolds Cream Liqueur. It has sweet, rich, butterscotch-like whisky tones and vanilla notes that work so well with the complex juniper-forward profile of the gin and the aromatic chocolate liqueur in this sumptuous martini recipe.

25ml gin
15ml chocolate liqueur
15ml Irish cream (Baileys or Cotswolds Cream Liqueur will work well here!)
30ml cream
Chocolate sauce, to garnish
Grated chocolate, to garnish
Pour chocolate sauce around the inside of your martini glass. Fill a shaker with ice and add the rest of your ingredients. Shake and strain into your glass and serve.
