This pink gin and apple hot toddy, infused with Frangelico, is the perfect winter warmer

When the winter nights stretch on - cold and dark - sometimes (just sometimes) an ice-cold G&T can seem a little too, well, chilly to be sipping on, frankly! Maybe you’ve not got the ingredients for a regular gin hot toddy, have drunk more hot gin punch over Christmas than was strictly necessary, and really can’t allow yourself any more sloe gin-spiked hot chocolate?! Well, in that case, it’s time to try a pink gin and apple hot toddy!

Delicately infused with sweet Frangelico liqueur, this warming gin and apple cocktail is pretty as a picture (we’re rather taken with the idea of serving it in a teapot) and tastes as good as it looks. Oh, and it is just as delicious cold, if you want to keep the recipe for when the weather finally warms up!

Pink Gin & Apple Hot Toddy

25ml pink gin
10ml Frangelico (or similar hazelnut liqueur)
10ml grenadine
100ml apple juice (or to taste)
Lemon wheel or rose petals, to garnish

Warm your apple juice up over a low heat until it’s hot but not boiling. Take the pan off the heat, then add your pink gin, hazelnut liqueur and grenadine. Stir gently, then pour into your cup. Garnish with a slice of fresh lemon and/or some rose petals, then serve!

This cocktail is also delicious cold - simply add all the ingredients to a shaker filled with ice and shake briefly to combine, then strain into your gin glass.
