Yes, our Craft Gin Club members are nothing if not creative! Here are a few of our favourite suggestions for how to re-use and upcycle your empty gin bottles…

Quick note: if you are cutting glass, please put your safety first! We recommend investing in a good quality glass cutter (you can get them online from around £10) and some safety goggles, where necessary! Play safe and have fun, crafty Craft Gin Clubbers.

This nifty decorating hack doesn’t even require you to be good at crafting! Literally anyone can clean a pretty gin bottle and pop a lovely candle in the top. (Just make sure it’s really secure before you light it!)

The more skillful among you may be keen to carefully carve off the side of your bottle and shave the edges down until smooth to create a lovely dish in which to plant your succulents!

Alternatively, some clever sausages out there are using their old gin bottles to create attractive terrariums for their homes - the perfect way to bring the outside in.

Turn your favourite empty gin bottle into an eye-catching soap dispenser for your bathroom - simply clean any screw-cap bottle and replace the lid with a pump (which you can buy online or in supermarkets; or re-use one from your actual soap bottle).

GIN BOTTLE FLOWER VASE

Of course, many gin bottles are so pretty that they don’t need any upcycling in order to serve as a lovely flower vase. However, if you do want to achieve a slightly more rustic look, you can paint or wrap your bottle in twine, ribbons, lace or coloured wool - or for a Christmassy feel, dunk them in glitter!
