If you have never heard of a Dead Man’s Hustle cocktail before then now is the time to give it a go. A mouthwatering mix of gin, Aperol and tequila, it is seriously delicious!
What’s more, all you have to do is shake and pour for this cocktail recipe. So it could not be easier to make at home for your favourite cocktail connoisseurs and gin fans.
We can’t wait for you to give it a go!
We love to use Condesa Gin Sahumerio, Craft Gin Club’s October 2023 Gin of the Month in this cocktail recipe.
Distilled in Mexico City and inspired by Mexico’s Day of the Dead celebrations, it has a wonderfully complex and rich combination of smokey, herbaceous, floral and citrus tones. The gin’s unique and utterly delicious palate works so well with the instantly recognisable agave tones of the tequila.
Aperol then adds its citrusy bitter-sweetness, giving the cocktail a reddish hue and flavour tones that are warm and sumptuous.
The orgeat syrup, which is almond-flavoured, then rounds everything out wonderfully, providing a nutty and sweet base that is fragrant and moreish, while the zesty fresh lime juice lifts each sip. Yum!
With its bitter, aperitivo-esque tones, this cocktail is perfect for pre-dinner drinks, and it is just as ideal as an autumn sundowner. In fact, we love sipping it at any time of the day or year. It’s must-try…
