It just wouldn’t be Christmas or New Year's without a good gin and champagne cocktail to celebrate the season, and few are better than this stunning Cranberry Gin Fizz!
This festive cocktail couldn’t be easier or quicker to make at home - whether your house is full of party guests or you are just wanting a cosy night in.
All you have to do is combine gin and cranberry juice and then top up the glass with champagne and hey-presto, you are good to go!
But which gin should you choose for this cocktail recipe? For us, it has to be a Christmas gin like Manchester Gin Under The Tree Edition from The Spirit of Manchester Distillery.
Craft Gin Club’s December 2023 Gin of the Month, Manchester Gin Under The Tree Edition is a festive mix of winter spice and fruit tones, which include notes of apple, date, cinnamon and clove. It’s the perfect match for the sweet-tart cranberry flavours of the cranberry juice in this cocktail.
The champagne then adds its wonder bubbles to the cocktails and crisp white wine tones that really take this serve to the next level.
Of course, if you prefer prosecco or cava or any other type of sparkling wine they can work just as well. The champagne just gives the cocktail that extra touch of luxury that we think you deserve at Christmas or on New Year's Eve!
To garnish, we recommend using fresh cranberries or raspberries to add to the sweet berry notes of the cocktails. A sprig of rosemary can also be used to add aromatic herb tones to the serve.
