Peach Schnapps, prosecco and gin make for one incredible trio in this fruity, bubbly and oh-so-refreshing spritz cocktail recipe. What’s more, the cocktail couldn’t be easier to make at home. So what are you waiting for? Give it a go today!
The key to this spritz cocktail recipe is picking the right gin for the job. For us, it has to be NDC Heritage Gin, Craft Gin Club’s April 2023 Gin of the Month.
From New Zealand, it’s made with Meler lemons and New Zealand coriander, which give it unique and remarkable delicious citrus tones that work to elevate the sweet, fruity schnapps in this recipe.
We have also added luscious honey to the recipe to complement those citrus and fruit flavours and a touch of lemon to balance everything out deliciously.
The prosecco, which is used to top off the cocktail, then adds its own crisp, refreshing bubbles, giving the cocktail elegant white wine fragrances that are utterly sublime.
What kind of alcohol is peach schnapps?
Peach schnapps is made by flavouring grain alcohol with peach. It has less alcohol content than spirits like gin, rum and whisky, traditionally sitting at around 15% and 20% ABV.
Archers is the most popular brand of peach schnapps in the UK and it is available in supermarkets, but there are many other brands out there too.
Peach schnapps is normally used in cocktail recipes like the one below but it can also be simply poured over ice and sipped on its own. We can’t wait for you to give it a go in this recipe!
