The Bramble & Bay Edition, Whitby Distillery

After working with Whitby Distillery in October 2020, we urge you to try this ruby-red gin, combining the fruity flavours of fresh blackberry with the delicate, herbaceous tones of bay leaf.

What does Bramble & Bay Edition Gin taste like? Sweet berry flavours are complemented by the fragrant herb notes of bay leaf and the rich tones of juniper, citrus and spice throughout this gin. It’s a delectably well-balanced tipple from the nose to the finish.

What are the key botanicals in Bramble & Bay Edition Gin? Juniper, blackberries, bay leaves and a secret selection of classic gin botanicals.

What makes the Bramble & Bay Edition Gin special? The childhood joy of finding a thicket bejewelled with blackberries (we remember the feeling!) is exactly where the story of this gin began. Following the success of their London Dry Gin, they collect the plumpest berries for this Bramble and Bay Edition.

It’s truly a feast for the senses, and proves why berries and herbs are a match made in heaven! It’s not what you’d expect - it’s a beautiful balance of sweet and savoury. It’s got a rich burst of fruit flavours with a yummy hint of vanilla.

What’s the perfect G&T with Bramble & Bay Edition Gin? Serve with a premium elderflower tonic water and garnish with a sprig of fresh basil and a slice of fresh lime.

What’s the best cocktail serve with Bramble & Bay Edition Gin? An Apple & Blackberry Gin Cocktail. The best flavours of autumn come together for a delicious drink.

Manchester Gin Blackberry Infused, The Spirit of Manchester Distillery

Manchester Gin Blackberry Infused.jpg

This wonderful edition from the makers of our April 2018 gin of the month, Manchester Gin, is full of delicious bursts of blackberry. Infusing blackberry juice with their Signature gin has created an irresistibly rich, jam-like gin.

What does Manchester Gin Blackberry Infused taste like? Juniper and blackberry are wonderfully balanced on the nose. The palate is full of juicy berry notes and those quintessential citrus and juniper tones. The finish is just as balanced as jam-like sweet and tart notes come through.

What are the key botanicals in the Manchester Gin Blackberry Infused? Juniper, blackberry juice, locally-foraged dandelion and burdock root as well as a whole range of classic London dry botanicals.

What makes the Manchester Gin Blackberry Infused special? This bold gin uses their award-winning signature recipe and a third of each and every bottle is made up of gorgeous blackberry juice!

So if you love all things blackberry, boy are you in for a treat! They use the juice in place of distilled water (that they usually dilute their gins with), so with no additional water, this bold gin is still strong at 40% ABV!

We love that it has a classic juniper character underpinning all that delicious berry sweetness. If you enjoy black forest gateaux or retro Vimto - you’re going to love it.

This gin is unbelievably fruity and has liqueur-like qualities without being too sweet - some would say it’s black (berry) magic!

What’s the perfect G&T with Manchester Gin Blackberry Infused? Serve with a premium elderflower tonic water, a sprig of rosemary and a couple of berries.

What’s the best cocktail serve with Manchester Gin Blackberry Infused? A Blackberry Gin Fizz. With prosecco and fruity infusions, what’s not to love?

Cranberry & Clementine Triple Distilled Gin, Sibling Distillery

SIBLING WINTER EDITION.jpg

The Sibling Winter Limited Edition is infused with Cranberries and Clementine peel. Luxuriously fruity with a bittersweet finish, it’s a real winter warmer.

What does Cranberry & Clementine Triple Distilled Gin taste like? You’ll notice a bittersweet flavour of the cranberry with almost cherry-like notes in addition to the trademark sharpness of the fruit. The vanilla pods and cardamom bringing a depth of botanical spice and sweetness which then gives way to zesty, festive citrus.

What are the key botanicals in the Cranberry & Clementine Triple Distilled Gin? Vanilla pods, coriander, cubeb, orange zest, clove, orris notes, lemon zest and liquorice.

What makes the Cranberry & Clementine Triple Distilled Gin special? What do you do when you grow up with parents who run a microbrewery? You grow up ready to take the alcohol industry by storm yourselves, of course! Enter four smart siblings who distil this flavoured gin in their hometown of Cheltenham.

Inspired by their upbringing, they decided to create a gin from scratch - but have gone against the grain - quite literally! Instead of buying in (or making grain neutral spirit), they use a hands-on method of mashing sugar cane to create the cleanest of slates to impart their combination of flavours on to.

The two brothers and sisters, despite not being able to feature on their own website (due to being under 25), have been hugely successful, winning a number of awards for their signature gin. This gin has an incredible colour and is popular with the majority but particularly those looking for a sweeter, fruity flavour.

What’s the perfect G&T with Cranberry & Clementine Triple Distilled Gin? Serve with regular tonic, lots of ice and garnish with orange peel.

What’s the best cocktail serve with Cranberry & Clementine Triple Distilled Gin? An Au-Tom Collins. It’s a deliciously twist on a classic gin cocktail!

Whinberry Gin, Batch Distillery

Whinberry Gin Batch Distillery.jpg

After featuring the award-winning Batch Distillery in our gin of the month box back in December 2017, this berry-tastic gin is aged in an oak-aged Cognac barrel for a warming flavour.

What does Whinberry Gin taste like? On the nose are spicy, fruity notes. On the palate, a complex flavour profile, fruity with hints of oak. The finish has a warming spice.

What are the key botanicals in the Whinberry Gin? Allspice berries, Angelica root, Cardamom, Cinnamon, Cloves, Coriander seed, Frankincense, Juniper berries, Lemongrass, Myrrh, Nutmeg, Orange peel, Sugar syrup, Whinberries.

What makes the Whinberry Gin special? On the moors and hillsides around Lancashire you will find wild whinberries/bilberries – a tiny wild fruit similar to the blueberry but smaller – deemed the ‘prince of the northern fruits’. But blink and you’ll miss them, as there’s only a short window of a few weeks to pick them fresh!

Using this local Lancashire hero fruit, the whinberry takes centre stage in this fabulous flavoured gin. It’s first steeped in the Batch Signature Gin and aged in a former Cognac barrel. It’s a complex spirit that is surprisingly versatile - it balances well with ginger ale or splashed in prosecco. It certainly isn’t your typical sloe gin!

What’s the perfect G&T with Whinberry Gin? Swap tonic for ginger ale to enhance those spiced flavours. Add ice and garnish with an orange slice.

What’s the best cocktail serve with Whinberry Gin? A Whimberry Warmer. If you love an autumnal taste, try this mulled gin recipe.
