8 of the best cosy cocktails for cold winter nights:

Apple Pie Highball

The fresh herbal botanicals of Mad Owl Gin Herbal are a perfect match for the orchard-fruit flavours of apple, which is presented in two different forms in this cocktail - juice and cider. The vanilla syrup smooths out everything making it a nice soft, yet complex cocktail and the cinnamon sugar adds that glowing spice and sweetness that we love. Combined, they create the flavour profile of a warming slice of apple pie. Yum!

Apple Pie Highball cocktail recipe

30ml Mad Owl Herbal Gin
45ml apple juice
25ml Vanilla Syrup
15ml lime juice
Cider, to top
Fresh apple or pear and a sprig of rosemary, to garnish
1tbsp brown sugar
1tbsp cinnamon

Combine the sugar and cinnamon in a saucer. Dampen the rim of the glass with apple juice. Sit the rim of the glass in cinnamon sugar until evenly coated. Shake the gin, apple juice, syrup and lime juice with ice then strain into your ice-filled glass. Top with the cider. Garnish, serve and enjoy!

Fireside Pomegranate Sour

This silky, soft sour cocktail recipe is brimming with festive, sweet-tart pomegranate tones that are complemented by gentle oak, coconut and vanilla notes from the Mad Owl Gin Oak-Aged. Zesty lemon then adds that deliciously sour tang. It’s perfect for sipping by the fireside!

Creamy Caramel Martinez

This creamy twist on a Martinez cocktail mixes Mad Owl Gin London Dry with sweet vermouth and Craft Gin Club’s Caramel Syrup (a traditional Martinez would use Maraschino liqueur instead of the syrup). We have then also added an extra glug of luxury in the form of rich double cream, which you can either try to float on top of the cocktail like an Irish Coffee or simple mix straight in. Finished with a sprinkle of nutmeg, it’s a fabulous way to get cosy on cold autumn and winter nights.
