Martini devotee? Classic cocktail lover? Say hello to another staple Martini, the 50/50 Martini. There’s plenty of variations on the classic Martini: a Martinez, Tuxedo No. 2, to name but a few. There are also slightly more adventurous takes on the classic, so try these 5 Martini recipes if you fancy a Martini with a twist!
This classic recipe is equal parts gin and vermouth, so if you like your martini wet, very drinkable, and enjoy the tasty flavour of herbaceous vermouth, this will be right up your street.
It’s super simple to create, just remember the 1:1 ratio! You can serve it with an olive, lemon twist, or dash of bitters for a little extra complexity.
And better still? It’ll only take you a few moments to make thanks to the 3 ingredients (which means more time catching up with your gin pals). We’ll be sipping these all summer and beyond! Now give the recipe a go and thank us later…
50/50 Martini
45ml gin
45ml white vermouth
Olives, to garnish
Add all the ingredients to a mixing glass with ice and stir until chilled. Strain into a chilled martini or coupe glass and garnish with two olives on a cocktail pick. Cheers!
For a twist on this recipe, why not make it a 50/50 Rosé Martini? All you have to do is swap the white vermouth for rosé vermouth and add a dash of orange bitters. What a treat!
