A classic martini recipe you’ll adore: try the tempting Tuxedo No. 2!

Martini lovers, listen up - we’ve got another classic cocktail you need to know about. Related to the Martinez cocktail and the classic Martini, the Tuxedo No. 2 is crisp, dangerously sippable with just the right amount of sweetness to balance the absinthe and bitters.

We’ll let you in on a fun fact: there’s not one, but two Tuxedo cocktails out there! The original Tuxedo cocktail is very dry - containing gin, sherry, and orange bitters. Tuxedo No. 2 includes mellow vermouth, a hint of absinthe with a tasty sweet cherry liqueur (called maraschino liqueur) to top it off.

This cocktail is said to get its name from the very same place as the tuxedo suit did - Tuxedo Park, in upstate New York. Don’t be fooled by the name though - you don’t need to be suited and booted to enjoy this extravagant cocktail! Chin chin!
