Try a Rhubarb and Ginger Negroni for a warming, spicy take on the classic cocktail recipe

The team behind Dartmouth English Gin, our June 2020 Gin of the Month, has created a spirit which deftly balances citrus, juniper and spice notes. As such, this beautiful balanced London Dry Gin is a perfect match for the dark, rich tones of Martini Rosso and the lighter bitter orange flare of Campari to make a classic Negroni.

However, for a tasty twist on the classic cocktail, here, we’ve added an extra layer of warming zing (that’s the, er, technical term!) with the addition of some tart-but-sweet rhubarb and ginger jam, and it’s absolutely delicious, if we do say so ourselves!


Dartmouth English Gin’s Rhubarb & Ginger Negroni

Rhubarb and Ginger Negroni

Ingredients

40ml Dartmouth English gin 
20ml Martini Rosso 
20ml Campari 
1tsp Rhubarb and ginger jam
A ribbon of orange peel

Method

Stir all ingredients over ice in a rocks glass. Garnish with the orange peel ribbon.
