You can’t go wrong with a fabulously fruity gin cocktail. Here at Craft Gin Club, we love drinks that are totally refreshing and full of flavour. And who doesn’t love an easy gin cocktail recipe?
If you are craving something slightly more tangy, then this blackberry sour is the perfect gin cocktail to sip on. It’s equal parts juicy, tart and sweet - and works so well with the juniper of the gin!
And better still? It looks like a cocktail you’d get in a swanky bar - and we owe the creamy foam texture to the shaken egg white. It’ll certainly impress your gin pals!
We made this with the beautifully aromatic Theodores Pictish Gin (which was our July 2019 Gin of the Month) - and you only need a few more store cupboard staples to whip this stunner up at home! It’s quicker than you think…
Blackberry Sour
Ingredients
50ml gin (we recommend Theodore Pictish Gin)
4 blackberries, plus extra to garnish
25ml lemon juice
1 egg white
15ml simple syrup
Edible flowers, to garnish
Add four black berries to a cocktail shaker and muddle. Add the rest of your ingredients and dry shake (without ice) to emulsify your egg white. Add ice and shake a second time. Double strain into a coupe glass and garnish.
