Take the flavours of a classic toffee apple and give them a modern twist, with this delicious salted caramel appletini!
The sweetness of the caramel is balanced here by a little squeeze of fresh, tart lemon juice and smooth, dry gin, so it’s not overwhelmingly syrupy. Of course, if you have a strong sweet tooth, you can up the quantity of salted caramel syrup! (And the opposite is also true - just halve the quantity of syrup if you prefer just a touch of sweetness in your cocktails.)
You can buy your salted caramel syrup in the shops, but it’s also easy to make your own, simply by adding a tiny pinch of sea salt to a standard caramel syrup. Alternatively, just leave out the salt entirely and go sweet all the way!
