Yes! Gin, cider AND limoncello!
This incredible trio make for one delicious summer sipper. Even better, the cocktail is so easy to make at home. You just need to stir the gin and limoncello and top up with the cider. Hey-presto, you have an utterly divine twist on a classic mimosa.
Champagne flutes at the ready? Here we go!
As you already know, a classic Mimosa combines orange juice and champagne to wonderful effect.
That mix of fruitiness and bubbles is simply sublime, and we have taken things to a whole new level with this creative take on the classic. We have swapped the orange for apple and lemon, and instead of champagne bubbles, we have cider bubbles. The gin then adds a remarkable depth and complexity. Are you salivating yet?
We recommend going for a London dry gin for this cocktail recipe. It has a delectably rich, earthy juniper base that is the perfect grounding for the fruity, zesty flavours of the other ingredients.
The limoncello then adds bright lemon flavours that will transport you to the Amalfi coast.
For the cider? What else but Magners Original Irish Cider? This delicious cider is still made with 17 varieties of apple grown in Clonmel, County Tipperary, the same way it has been since 1935. It’s brimming with delicious apple flavours that are sweet, tart and fragrant in all the right places.
Together, these three ingredients give you a cocktail that is bubbly and rich yet fruity and bright. Yum!
Finished with a slice of apple or lemon, it’s the perfect way to treat yourself and your gin pals this summer and beyond.
