We could sip this frozen gin, chocolate and coffee cocktail all summer long!

This frozen gin cocktail recipe combines our favourite tipple (gin!) with gorgeous, complex coffee flavours, the sweet, rich delights of cream liqueur and the delicate spice aromas of chocolate bitters. A unique and creative gin cocktail recipe, inspired by the classic Mudslide, it is truly special!

Despite its decadent creaminess, this cocktail is chilled to its core, making it as refreshing as your favourite ice cream on a hot day.

The beautiful maple syrup tones and nutty, pecan notes of the fudge are the perfect complements to the coffee, chocolate and gin flavours of the cocktail.

Frozen Gin Mudslide

What is a Mudslide cocktail?

A Mudslide is traditionally a vodka-based cocktail that mixes vodka with double cream, coffee liqueur and Irish cream liqueur (often Baileys). They are shaken together with lots of ice and then served with a garnish of chocolate sauce, shavings or grated chocolate.

Our frozen version of this recipe swaps the vodka for gin and adds extra complexity and spice notes with the use of Angostura Cocoa Bitters. For this recipe, we also blend the cocktail ingredients with ice instead of shaking them, this gives the cocktail a fun, milkshake-like quality that is perfect for keeping you cool through summer.

Makes two:
100ml gin
100ml coffee liqueur
100ml Amarula Cream Liqueur (or an Irish cream of your choice)
200ml double cream, plus extra to garnish
1 dash Angostura Cocoa Bitters
Chocolate sauce, to garnish
Ground coffee or grated chocolate, to garnish

Add everything apart from the chocolate sauce to a blender with lots of ice and blend. Pour the chocolate sauce into the inside of your glasses in a spiral shape and then whip up the remaining cream until soft peaks form. Pour the blended cocktail into the glasses and spoon the whipped cream on top. Finish with a dusting of coffee or grating of chocolate and enjoy with the Copperpot Maple Syrup & Pecan Fudge.

Why not try a non-frozen version of this gorgeous Mudslide cocktail recipe? Served in a chocolate-rimmed martini glass, it’s incredible. Watch the video for the recipe:
