This Frozen Hazelnut Espresso Martini is a game-changer!

As after-dinner cocktails go, few are as utterly scrumptious as this frozen mix of gin, coffee and hazelnut liqueur.

It’s the perfect dessert cocktail and it is just as delicious when you simply want to treat your friends to a fun and unique twist on the Espresso Martini. What’s more, it couldn’t be easier to make at home - you literally just blend everything with ice and pour. Et voila!

Discover all below…

For the gin in this cocktail recipe, it has to be Roundwood Fireside Gin, Craft Gin Club’s September 2023 Gin of the Month.

From Roundwood Gin in Cambridgeshire, it is full of wonderfully autumnal berry and spice notes, including juniper, cinnamon, nutmeg and sloe berries. They complement the coffee flavours and enrich the hazelnut tones wonderfully.

When comes to hazelnut liqueur, Frangelico is a fantastic (and readily available) option. This Italian liqueur is creamy and rich and nutty, with mellow hints of white chocolate and vanilla that work to round out the coffee and gin in this cocktail.

The coffee elements of this recipe come from freshly brewed espresso coffee, allowed to cool before use, and Craft Gin Club’s very own Gin-spresso Martini Cocktail Syrup. Created specifically for gin versions of the Espresso Martini like this one. It’s rich and sweet and full of complex coffee tones.

When all of these ingredients are blended together with ice, you get a cocktail that is refreshing yet so delectably rich and smooth, creamy and complex, nutty and moreish. One may never be enough!
