Where is Cascave Stormy Gin made?
Cascave Stormy Gin is distilled in Wales, in the Brecon Beacons National Park, a picturesque range of mountains and moorland dotted with castles, waterfalls and village communities.
How is Cascave Stormy Gin made?
Inspired by the magnificent storms that rumble across Wales and the Brecon Beacons through winter (and sometimes through summer too), Cascave Stormy Gin is made with a delicious mix of botanicals that give the gin its iconic light-and-dark flavours.
Those carefully chosen botanicals include orange, grapefruit and lemon to bring bright citrus tones to the gin. Liquorice root, wild sunflower root and pink peppercorn then provide richer, deeper darker notes.
The full list of Cascave Stormy Gin botanicals can be found here: juniper, coriander seed, sweet orange ribbon, lemon ribbon, grapefruit peel, liquorice root, wild sunflower root, angelica root, orris root powder, meadowsweet, bilberry and pink peppercorn.
The team at Cascave Gin then distils their botanicals with hand-collected water from the historic, Dan Yr Ogof caves, which sit under the Brecon Beacons, making this fabulous craft gin a true expression of the Welsh landscape.
The finished gin is bottled in beautiful glass bottles that are labelled with a label designed to mirror the rock patterns of the Dan Yr Ogof caves.
What does Cascave Stormy Gin taste like?
Cascave Stormy Gin has the perfect storm of light and dark tones that are simply divine. On the nose, rich, earthy juniper meets bright citrus tones and a hint of spice. Those delicious flavours develop on the palate and last long into a marvellously moreish finish.
How do you serve Cascave Stormy Gin?
We recommend serving Cascave Stormy Gin with Double Dutch Cranberry & Ginger Tonic, garnished with lemon and juniper, for a mouthwatering winter G&T. Find the full recipe here!
Cascave Stormy Gin is also fantastic in cocktails. We love to mix it with Heartsease Farm Traditional Lemonade and our bespoke Blue Lagoon Cocktail Syrup to make Craft Gin Club’s Blue Lagoon. It’s citrusy and tropical and the perfect way to add a little zest to your winter nights in. Take a look at the recipe here.
What other gins does Cascave Gin make?
Cascave Gin currently has two more gins in its range: Cascave Premium Dry Gin and Cascave Cave Aged Gin. Both are made using the exact same care and attention to detail as Cascave Stormy Gin and both are utterly delicious.

Cascave Premium Dry Gin - 43% ABV
Cascave Gin’s award-winning signature edition, this stunning craft gin is inspired by the Brecon Beacons and is made with the mineral-rich waters that flow off them, down into Wales’ famed Dan Yr Ogof caves, along with a carefully curated selection of local botanicals.
The nose of Cascave Premium Dry Gin holds sweet tones of orange along with rich, earthy juniper and bursts of bilberry.
On the palate, discover scrumptious hints of marmalade and warm woody spice and herb notes.
Tangy, sweet bilberry then lasts long into the elegant, well-rounded finish.
To serve Cascave Premium Dry Gin, we recommend pairing it with a premium tonic water of your choice and garnishing it with a slice of fresh grapefruit.
Cascave Cave Aged Gin - 43% ABV
This award-winning craft gin is made by ageing Cascave Gin in barrels once used to hold port, in the Dan Yr Ogof caves.
Golden in colour, this fabulous tipple is brimming with citrus and berry tones, which are joined by luscious notes of mellow vanilla and hints of warm spice. That smooth palate leads into a long and wonderfully moreish finish that is sure to impress any gin fan.
