Inspired by the incredible team at Brindle Distillery, who have already raised over £40,000 for Jo’s Cervical Cancer Trust, Craft Gin Club is donating 5% of the profits from the purchase of every bottle of Cuckoo Gin on the Craft Gin Club online shop to this amazing charity.
This means that you can help out too, and the method couldn’t be easier or more delicious, all you have to do is get yourself some Cuckoo Gin!
Craft Gin Clubbers will already know that this fight is personal for the team at Brindle Distillery. In 2018, Liz Singleton, the wife of Brindle’s Head Distiller and Director, Mark Long, was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of cervical cancer.
The treatment that Liz had to endure was invasive and ultimately life-altering, but she managed to pull through and is now living her best life with Mark. The road to recovery wasn’t easy, but Jo’s Cervical Cancer Trust was a great support to the couple throughout.
The couple has been a huge supporter of Jo’s Cervical Cancer Trust ever since their ordeal, throwing fundraisers and even creating a special edition gin for Craft Gin Clubbers to help raise awareness of the charity - their Cuckoo Solace Gin, our May 2021 Gin of the Month, is truly remarkable!
What is Jo’s Cervical Cancer Trust?
Jo’s Cervical Cancer Trust was set up by James Maxwell and made operational in 2000 in memory of his wife Jo, who died of cervical cancer in 1999.
Jo was diagnosed with cervical cancer in 1995 and had difficulty finding any real information on the subject.
It was Jo’s hope that everyone would have access to all the help that they needed one day, and that women with cervical cancer from across the country would have the opportunity to communicate with others facing similar challenges.
Today, Jo’s Cervical Cancer Trust is doing just that. Over the past 22 years, this remarkable charity has worked around the clock to raise awareness of cervical cancer, its causes, its treatments and ways to prevent it. In doing so, they have helped support thousands of individuals with cervical cancer.
Now Craft Gin Club and Brindle Distillery are helping you to help Jo’s Cervical Cancer Trust continue their fantastic work.
All you have to do is purchase a bottle of Cuckoo Gin from the Craft Gin Club online shop and we will donate 5% of the profits from that sale to Jo’s Cervical Cancer Trust. We get to help Jo’s Trust continue their work and you get a fabulous craft gin - you might say it’s a gin-gin situation!
