Created by Tom Fitzpatrick, the brand manager at Brindle Distillery, the gin-credible distillery behind our May 2021 Gin of the Month, Cuckoo Solace Craft Gin Club Special Edition, this mouth-watering cocktail is ideal for sipping through spring and summer and beyond.

Mixing the Mediterranean-inspired flavour profile of Cuckoo Solace Craft Gin Club Special Edition with sweet grenadine and delicious blackberry-flavoured crème de mûre, which is the blackberry liqueur you may know from classic Bramble cocktail recipes, this cocktail is fruity and brimming with sumptuous herb and berry tones. The addition of lemon juice gives the cocktail a wonderful zing and the egg whites provide that silky smooth foam that takes this drink to the next level.

Summertime Solace

Ingredients

50ml Cuckoo Solace Craft Gin Club Special Edition
25ml pomegranate syrup or 10ml grenadine (available on our online shop, here!)
10ml crème de mûre
30ml lemon juice, freshly squeezed
1 egg white
Hibiscus leaves, to garnish (optional)

Method

Add all of your ingredients to a cocktail shaker. First, shake without ice. Next, open the shaker, add a handful of ice and shake vigorously a second time. Strain into a rocks glass and garnish.
