Each month we are asking Craft Gin Club’s Master Mixologist, Maria, to show us how to transform an overlooked storecupboard ingredient into a delicious easy-to-make cocktail for our mouthwatering Storecupboard Sips series.
This month, she has raided the Craft Gin Club storecupboard and has found some mango chutney, one of our favourite kitchen condiments, and she has created a stunning gin martini recipe for you to try.
Mixing the sweet, tart, spice and fruit flavours of mango chutney with the delectably complex juniper notes of a good craft gin and the zesty citrus tones of orange and lemon juice, it’s a fantastic tipple!
Scroll down to find the recipe and scroll even further down to find the perfect snack to enjoy with this gin-credible storecupboard cocktail recipe. Spoiler - it’s Uncle Saba’s Poppadoms, which Craft Gin Club members could find in their August 2021 Gin of the Month box!

What better snack to enjoy with a mango chutney-based cocktail than the perfect poppadoms.
We are in love with Uncle Saba’s here at Craft Gin Club, their poppadoms are made with lentils and are vegan-friendly, gluten-free and high in both plant-based protein and fibre. We can’t get enough, especially when it comes to their Sweet Chilli edition. The hum of chilli heat and rich spice is the perfect match of the fruity, fragrant chutney in the martini recipe above!
