Gin 1689
This month’s sensational spirit has travelled all the way from the Netherlands and through time with the recipe dating back over 300 years! The distillers of Gin 1689 dug through historic archives to find the recipe that would have been used when William of Orange popularised it in England!
Double Dutch Tonic Water x 3
Cranberry & Ginger, Indian Tonic & Pomegranate and Basil
Not one, not two but THREE tonic’s feature in October’s Gin of the Month box! Just like the Dutch prince who inspired Gin 1689, Double Dutch’s founders Raissa and Joyce de Haas grew up in the Netherlands before making England their home. Their delicious tonic’s success is rooted in a deep connection to both lands!
Cocktail of the Month
3/4 Oz Ginger Syrup, Angostura Bitters, Tiptree Tawny Orange Marmalade
When the Dutch Prince William of Orange took the throne of England in the Glorious Revolution of 1689, he kickstarted a revolution of another kind: he introduced gin to England! This month, we’re celebrating the origin story of our favourite spirit through the cocktails, including this special tipple paying tribute to the prince of gin! Featuring the sublime 3/4 Oz Ginger Syrup, the iconic Angostura Bitters and the sharp and sweet Tiptree Tawny Marmalade all in the month’s beautiful box!
Tony’s Chocolonely
