If you haven’t tried mixing your favourite gins with the remarkable mixers from Cawston Press yet then you need to make it next on your cocktail to-do list.
Created with pressed fruit and sparkling to perfection, they make for a fantastic alternative mixer for those gin fans that don’t like tonic water or soda water, or those cocktail connoisseurs looking for a huge hit of authentic fruity flavour without having to exert too much effort - literally just pour with gin and you are good to go!
Of course, we just had to share Cawston Press mixers with Craft Gin Club members in their May 2022 Gin of the Month box so they could see for themselves - we do like to keep members up-to-date with all of the best mixers and cocktail ingredients after all.
But the fun doesn’t end with simple serves like a Gin & Cawston Press (instead of a G&T), they have some fantastic cocktails too (find them here!). We have adapted some Cawston Press recipes to include gin and the result is these three wonderous spring and summertime cocktails below. Yes, that is a rhubarb-flavoured twist on an Aperol Spritz…
Give them a go and let us know what you think in our Craft Gin Clubbers Facebook Group at this link!
Rhubarb Aperol Spritz
Sweet-tart rhubarb, bitter-sweet and citrusy Aperol, and fragrant gin make for the perfect trio in this stunning twist on an Aperol Spritz!
The real star of the show here is Cawston Press Sparkling Rhubarb. Made with pressed apple, rhubarb and sparkling water, it’s an utterly scrumptious mixer that we love pairing with gin, especially in cocktails like this!
25ml gin
250ml Cawston Press Sparkling Rhubarb
10ml fresh lemon juice
50ml Aperol
Slice of orange, to garnish
Fill a large copa or wine glass with ice. Add the gin, Aperol and lemon juice. Top up with the Cawston Press Sparkling Rhubarb and stir. Garnish, serve and enjoy!
Apple Spritz
Spritz cocktails are the perfect tipples for late spring and summer. Refreshing, wonderfully effervescent and bursting with sunny flavours, this gin and apple cocktail is no different. It combines Cawston Press Cloudy Apple, which is made with only the finest Cox and Gala apples, and our favourite spirit, gin.
The aromatic, deep complexity of the gin is the perfect match for the succulent, sparkling apple flavours of Cawston Press Cloudy Apple. The white wine then adds wonderful grape notes that elevate this cocktail to the next level. And, what’s more, this cocktail could not be easier to make at home - all you have to do is pour! So what are you waiting for?

250ml Cawston Press Cloudy Sparkling Apple

Gin & Elderflower Lemonade

The gin then adds a rich backdrop of juniper that is complex and moreish and utterly delicious. We can’t wait for you to give this one a go.
