Traditional Margaritas need to watch out - this Orange, Grapefruit & Ginger Ginarita is a game changer!

Fans of gin and ginger flavours are going to love these incredible cocktail recipes!

First, we have an Orange, Grapefruit & Ginger Ginarita, then we have a Gin & Chilli Mule, and last but certainly not least, we have a fabulous Pink Tonic Collins, made with the incredible Navas Floral Tonic from Craft Gin Club’s August 2022 Gin of the Month box. This mouthwatering tonic is brimming with hibiscus, rose and ginger flavours that are completely divine.

When we tried Navas Drinks’ Ginger Ale and Ginger Beer we just knew they would be perfect for these cocktail recipes.

Their Ginger Beer has an inviting sweetness and a delectable touch of Cornish apple juice and Tahitian lime that really bring the ginger flavours to life. It takes our Orange, Grapefruit & Ginger Ginarita to the next level.

Navas Ginger Ale is made with three varieties of Nigerian ginger, giving you a truly remarkable ginger flavour that is complemented by sharp hints of lime - both of which are perfect partners to the chilli in our Gin & Chilli Mule.

We can’t wait for you to give them a try in these cocktail recipes…

Orange, Grapefruit & Ginger Ginarita

This is the Ginarita that dreams are made of! Just in case you are new to Ginaritas, they are a version of a Margarita that swaps the tequila for gin.

We’ve added an even bigger twist to this recipe by both orange and grapefruit juice to the usual lime juice. This adds a complex mix of delectably bittersweet citrus tones to the cocktail that works so well with gin. Finish with herbaceous fresh thyme, it’s a real crowdpleaser!

gin and ginger beer cocktail recipe with orange and grapefruit

50ml gin
25ml fresh orange juice
25ml fresh grapefruit juice
Navas Ginger Beer, to top
Fresh lime, to garnish
Chilli salt, to garnish (optional)

Add the gin and citrus fruit juices to a shaker or stirring glass with lots of ice. Stir well and then strain into an ice-filled glass. Top with the ginger beer. Garnish, serve and enjoy!

Gin & Chilli Mule

This fiery twist on the traditional vodka-based Mule replaces the vodka with gin and adds a hit of chilli to the vibrant mix of ginger ale (we like Navas Ginger Ale for this) and lime.

Note: be sure to taste your chillis before using them. This ensures they aren’t too hot for your palate. And if you really want to minimise the spice, leave the chilli out of the muddling section of the recipe, just use slices of chilli to garnish - they will still add a warm but subtle hum that is completely delicious.

Gin and ginger ale mule cocktail recipe

50ml gin
15ml Simple Syrup
15ml fresh lime juice
A small handful of fresh mint
Two slices of fresh chilli, plus more to garnish
Navas Ginger Ale, to top
Fresh lime slice, to garnish

Muddle the gin, lime juice, chilli, syrup and mint in the bottom of a shake. Add ice and shake well. Strain into an ice-filled Mule cup (a Rocks glass works too!). Top up with the ginger ale. Garnish, serve and enjoy!

Pink Tonic Collins

A twist on the classic Tom Collins, which is traditionally made with soda water, we have swapped in Navas Floral Tonic for this gorgeous recipe.

Here, the taste-bud-tingling hibiscus, rose and ginger flavours of Navas Floral Tonic are the perfect match for the rich juniper of the gin and the delectable bite of the bright lemon juice. Using summer fruits to garnish this cocktail then transforms it into a seasonal delight that’s perfect for sipping through warm evenings!

60ml gin
30ml lemon juice
15ml Simple Syrup
Navas Floral Tonic, to top
Summer fruits and herbs of your choice, to garnish (we like raspberries, mint and lemon)
