Craft Gin Club’s Singapore Fling
How do you make a Singapore Sling?
The Singapore Sling cocktail recipe is said to have been invented by the noted bartender Ngiam Tong Boon in the early 20th Century at the Long Bar in the Raffles Hotel, Singapore. The traditional Singapore Sling cocktail recipe calls for gin to be shaken with cherry brandy liqueur, Bénédictine (a herbal liqueur made in France), Cointreau, pineapple juice, lime juice, grenadine and Angostura Bitters. Luckily, our Singapore Fling recipe allows you to get all of those fabulously fruity, sweet and sour flavours with far less effort. What a treat!

10ml lime juice

What makes this cocktail so special? The quality of the ingredients!
Brass Lion Singapore Dry Gin
Our August 2021 Gin of the Month, this craft gin is distilled in the heart of Singapore at the Brass Lion Distillery. It’s a wonderful expression of its home that’s brimming with notes of mandarin, pomelo, torch ginger flower, tamarind and chrysanthemum. That delectably complex mix of floral, citrus and spice notes make it perfect for use in fruitier (like the Fling above) or sour cocktails. Give it a go in this Mango Crush cocktail recipe or this Calamansi Gimlet and you will not be disappointed.
Martin Frobisher’s Cherry Juice
The quality of Martin Frobisher’s fruit juices are second to none and their bold, authentic fruit flavours make them exceptional cocktail ingredients. For our Singapore Fling recipe, we just had to use their Cherry Juice. It’s bursting with fruity cherry notes that work wonderfully with the rich palate of Asian tones that can be found in Brass Lion Singapore Dry Gin.
