Try our top savoury gin cocktails when you need a sugar break!

Clover Club, Eton Mess, Raspberry Gin, we have a whole host of sweet cocktail recipes for you to try at home! But what if you’re craving something savoury? Inspired by the moreish, tasty Emily Crisps in our August 2019 Gin of the Month box, here are our favourite savoury gin cocktails.

The Gibson

75ml gin
2 tsp dry vermouth
3/4 tsp cocktail onion brine
Cocktail onions

Add ice to a mixing glass and pour over the gin, vermouth and the brine from the jar of cocktail onions. Stir over the ice for 1 min and then strain into a chilled glass. Garnish with a cocktail onion dropped into the glass, or three on a cocktail stick.

Red Snapper

50ml gin
100ml tomato Juice
Hot sauce, to taste
Worcestershire sauce, to taste
A generous grind each of salt and pepper
Celery and lemon slices, to garnish

Fill a tall glass with ice and combine your gin and tomato juice cocktail. Drop in hot sauce and Worchester Sauce to taste, then grind in salt and pepper. Stir with celery stalk, squeeze in the juice of a lemon wedge (if desired) and serve.

Cucumber & Elderflower Gin Cooler

1 x cucumber
100 ml gin
50 ml elderflower cordial
Ice
Cucumber sticks

Roughly chop 2 cucumbers and blend in a food processor with elderflower cordial.
Press through a sieve into a large pitcher pressing down hard on the pulp - discard any remaining pulp.
Add gin and chill for an hour.
Fill 6 tumblers with ice and pour in the cocktails, garnish with a slither of cucumber.

Celery Gimlet

40ml Napue Gin
40ml celery juice
20ml lime juice
10ml sugar syrup
Three drops of white wine vinegar

Combine ingredients in a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake and strain into a chilled glass. Garnish with a pea shoot.
