These creamy chocolate, gin and Baileys cocktails are irresistibly indulgent!

Our amazing mixologist, Maria Vieira, has created two incredible cocktails inspired by the Bahlsen Choco Leibniz Baileys biscuits that we have sent to our members in their October 2020 Gin of the Month box.

A crunchy butter biscuit with a thick layer of milk chocolate; the classic Choco Leibniz biscuit is hard to beat — but add a dash of Baileys Cream Liqueur and these biscuits go to the next level!  Bahlsen has been baking biscuit perfection for more than 130 years and has kept true to its roots as a family company even as it’s become one of the most famous and beloved biscuit producers in its native Germany.

The biscuits that we sent to our members are the classic Choco Leibniz with the taste of Baileys infused into the milk chocolate. Just a little bit fancy, they’re the perfect way to treat yourself after a long day — especially when you kick back and enjoy them alongside one of these creamy cocktails.

Baileys Banana Bahlsen

This is something I’d like to drink after dinner, or just before bedtime. It has a subtle touch of banana with a creamy, biscuity flavour from the Baileys. The gin adds a slightly spicy aroma and balances out the drink.

Baileys Banana Bahlsen Cocktail Recipe

Ingredients

25ml gin (our exclusive Whitby Gin The Demeter Edition would be our first choice)
25ml Baileys Cream Liqueur
15ml crème de banane
100ml milk
Choco Leibniz Baileys, to garnish

Method

Fill a highball or hurricane glass with ice and add your first four ingredients. Stir gently to combine and garnish to serve.

Baileys & Vanilla Martini

Creamy, chocolatey and full of fragrant vanilla tones, this Baileys and gin-soaked martini is a must-try!

Baileys And Vanilla Martini Recipe

Ingredients

20ml gin (we recommend our exclusive Whitby Gin The Demeter Edition but any good London dry will do)
15ml Baileys
15ml vanilla liqueur
30ml single cream
Cocoa powder, to rim the glass

Method

Before you make your cocktail, rim your glass. To do this, put cocoa powder in one shallow bowl and lemon juice in another. Take a coupette or martini glass and dip it upside down in the lemon juice, so that the lip of the glass is wet, and then place it in the cocoa powder. Turn right side up and set aside to set.

When you’re ready to make your cocktail, fill a shaker with ice and add the rest of your ingredients. Shake and strain into your glass and serve.
