If you love grape and cherry flavours as much as you love gin then these three cocktails are the ones for you!
Made with Soda Folk Cherry and Soda Folk Grape, each of these fabulous cocktails is bursting with juicy berry and fruit flavours.
A Negroni, a Sling and a Twinkle, each of these bubbly cocktail recipes is a must-try!
Cherry Gin Twinkle
A Twinkle is a cocktail traditionally made with vodka, St Germain and champagne. This delectable version replaces the vodka with gin and the champagne with Soda Folk Cherry. Just as elegant and sophisticated, it’s brimming with notes of marzipan and cherry. Yum!
Ingredients
25ml gin
15ml elderflower liqueur - St Germain would be our first choice
5ml lemon juice
100ml Cherry Soda to top up
Maraschino cherry, to garnish
Method
Add the ingredients to a mixing glass with ice and give them a quick stir to chill. Strain into a flute or champagne glass and garnish with a Maraschino cherry. Enjoy!
Grape Negroni
A twist on the Negroni, this cocktail sits somewhere between the classic Negroni recipe and the Americano cocktail - which is made with Campari, vermouth and soda. Usually made with gin, Campari and vermouth, this version of a Negroni swaps the vermouth for Soda Folk Grape. Delicious!
Ingredients
25ml gin
25ml Campari
75ml Soda Folk Grape
Orange peel, to garnish
Method
Build directly in a glass by adding all the ingredients with ice then giving everything a quick stir. Garnish with an Orange Wedge.
Grape Sling
This refreshing and fruity cocktail is a tropical treat for your taste buds. Atop the mellow and rich undertones of the vanilla and gin, the pineapple is vibrant and juicy and the grape tones burst with delight. The touches of lemon then add a bright hint that elevates the whole experience.
Ingredients
60ml gin
15ml lemon juice
15ml vanilla syrup
30ml pineapple juice
30ml Soda Folk Grape, to top
Lemon, to garnish
Method
Add the first four ingredients in a shaker with ice and shake well. Strain into a Highball glass over ice and top with the Grape Juice. Garnish with a lemon wedge and serve.
Meet the good folk of Soda Folk
Soda Folk is shaking up the world of fizzy mixers with its Grape soda. Made with natural ingredients and no nasties, every can of soda sold contributes to their good deeds charity to help make the world a better place. Here’s why this tasty soda is set to be your favourite new cocktail ingredient.
Makers of high quality, Americana-influenced soda, inspired by nostalgic flavours, Soda Folk supports and celebrates good folk who do good deeds wherever they find them — all you need to do is look at the front of each can and read their stories and see how.
This January, in fact, they introduced two new ‘Good Folk’ to the front of their cans: Shannon McAuliffe, the skilled chef who founded Feed The Nation while on furlough during COVID-19, and Mike Miller-Smith, who didn’t let a diagnosis of muscular dystrophy end his dreams of being a commercial pilot. Mike now runs Aerobility, a charity that offers thousands of disabled people around the world the chance to fly a plane. How brilliant is that?
Every amazing person featured on Soda Folk cans are nominated and chosen by their communities — and every single one deserves a toast. Thankfully, their tasty mixers are delicious and versatile cocktail ingredients and they taste great with gin.
Here’s to the good folk of Soda Folk!
