Craft gin is loved for its versatility and wide range of different tasting notes - floral, spicy, sweet, herbaceous - there is a gin out there for all palates! The tasting notes of a gin are based on the botanicals that are used in the distillation process, juniper, lemon peel, rose buds, nutmeg, to name a few.
In February's Gin of the Month box, members are being treated to another beautiful beverage, bursting with botanicals! Harry Brompton’s Alcoholic Iced Tea, made with Kenyan tea. Flavours include original citrus, berries and cucumbers and skinny peach with a vodka base and make a delicious boozy cocktail when mixed with gin!

Simple to make at home, using your favourite craft gin - what could be a better combination than two of the UK's favourite tipples coming together?! Afternoon tea here we come...
Earl Grey Martini
Method:
Infuse the teabag in the gin for 10 minutes at room temperature.
Combine the tea-infused gin, lemon juice, sugar syrup and egg white in a cocktail shaker.
Dry-shake without any ice to emulsify the egg.
Open and add very cold ice; shake again until cold. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
Ingredients:
50ml craft gin
1 Earl Grey teabag
25ml freshly squeezed lemon juice
25ml sugar syrup (1:1 sugar and water)
1 egg white (optional)
The Tea Lady
Method:
Add the gin, tea, lemon juice, sugar syrup and egg white to a cocktail shaker and shake vigorously. Strain into a chilled coupe glass and garnish with a lemon twist
Ingredients:
50ml craft gin
35ml Lady Grey tea, brewed and cooled
10ml lemon juice
10ml sugar syrup
1 x egg white
Lemon twist to garnish
Hibiscus G&T(ea)
Method:
Add the gin, lemon syrup, lemon juice and tea to a cocktail shaker with ice and shake vigorously. Strain into a small tumbler and garnish with a lemon slice.
Ingredients:
45ml craft gin
10ml lemon simple syrup*
10ml freshly squeezed lemon juice
35ml Hibiscus tea, brewed and cooled
GG&Tea
Method:
Combine the strong black tea and ginger syrup in a glass and stir. Squeeze in the lime juice and add the gin. Stir for a final time and garnish with a cinnamon stick.
*For the Ginger Syrup:
Add finely sliced ginger, sugar, water, salt and lime peel to a saucepan and bring the mixture to a simmer. Simmer for 30 minutes without the lid. Discard the ginger and lime peel. Pour the liquid into the jar, let it cool and keep in the refrigerator.
Ingredients:
40ml craft gin
2tbsp ginger syrup*
100ml strongly brewed black tea
Juice of half a lime
For the Ginger Syrup:
120g fresh ginger
150ml water
150ml sugar
1/2 tbsp salt
Zest of half a lime
Vanilla and tea-infused gin
Make a batch of this sweet, floral tea-infused gin and serve it with a classic, crisp tonic, over ice and a vanilla pod to garnish - TEA-licious!
Method:
In an airtight bottle or jar add the tea to the gin. Cut open the vanilla pod and using knife, scrape out the seeds and add both the seeds and crushed vanilla pod to the tea and gin. Give the jar a good shake and then leave to sit in a dark cool place for a week. Strain the gin through a muslin cloth into another bottle, ready to whip us some vanilla & tea G&Ts!

70ml roobis tea, brewed and cooled
