Floral, sweet and citrusy in all the right places, this beautiful punch cocktail is a sumptuous mix of gin, elderflower syrup, lemon juice, orange bitters and sparkling wine. We recommend using a floral gin like this Ludlow Elderflower & Chamomile gin to compliment the delicate seasonal flavours.
The juniper of the gin and spice of the bitters provide a rich, complex base, while the lemon juice and white wine bring a crisp, bright touch of yellow citrus and grape. The Elderflower Syrup then adds a mouth-waterly sweet element that’s full of elegant spring and summer tones that complete the whole experience. Delicious!
Spring Elderflower Gin Punch
(Serves six)
210ml gin
90ml Elderflower Syrup
90ml lemon juice
12 dashes of Angostura Orange Bitters (optional)
450ml sparkling wine, to top up
Lemon wheels and edible flowers, to garnish
Add your first three ingredients to a punch bowl or jug with ice and stir vigorously to chill and dilute your cocktail. Top up with sparkling wine, garnish and serve alongside rocks glasses.
