Sweep your eyes across our member’s Facebook group, Craft Gin Clubbers, or flick to the member’s section of our monthly club magazine, GINNED!, and you will soon realise that gin lovers are just as crazy about their pets as they are about gin, especially when it comes to their dogs.
This is just one reason why we are SO excited to announce that we are now working with an amazing charity for dogs: Dogs Trust!
In celebration of puppy love, we have created four paw-fect G&T bundles, each one inspired by some seriously cute distillery dogs, and we are going to donate £5 from the purchase of each one to Dogs Trust.
That means you not only get an incredible craft gin, some marvellous tonic waters and some gorgeous garnishes, all curated by our team of gin experts, but you also get to help out the wonderful puppers at the Dogs Trust at the same time!
Not heard of Dogs Trust before? Allow us to bring you up to speed:
Dogs Trust is the UK’s largest dog welfare charity. They have made it their mission to bring about the day that all dogs can live long and happy lives, without the threat of unnecessary destruction.
This awe-inspiring charity takes in lost, mistreated, unwanted dogs from across the UK (over 15,000 each year!) and then cares for them until they are ready to find a new home through their 21 rehoming centres. They also work to improve canine welfare across the globe through Dogs Trust Worldwide, with grant programmes such as ending dog exploitation, vaccinating street dogs, education programmes, and emergency aid to help dogs in disaster areas.
Each of the mouthwatering G&T bundles that we have created with Dogs Trust has been inspired by a different distillery dog from some amazing distilleries that Craft Gin Clubbers are sure to recognise, including Dunnet Bay Distillery (home of Rock Rose Gin!), Manchester Gin, The River Test Distillery and Pennington’s Spirits & Liqueurs (home of Lakeland Moon Snowfell Gin!).
Allow us to introduce you to each one of these marvellous mascots and their ginny bundles!
Meet Mr Mackintosh and his Rock Rose Paw-fect G&T
Members who received Craft Gin Club’s August 2020 Gin of the Month box will certainly recognise this handsome fellow. Mr Mackintosh does the daily rounds through his home at the Dunnet Bay Distillery on the wild northern coast of Scotland, checking everything is ship-shape. You can do the rounds with him right here!
It’s under his watchful eye that this amazing distillery sends out incredible gins like the Rock Rose Citrus Coastal Edition Gin, which works so well with London Essence Original Indian Tonic and the citrusy, tart mix of grapefruit and cranberry garnishes in this wonderful bundle and serve:
50ml Rock Rose Citrus Coastal Edition Gin
200ml London Essence Original Indian Tonic Water
Grapefruit and cranberries, to garnish
Add all of the ingredients to a glass with lots of ice and stir. Garnish, serve and enjoy!
Introducing Deedee and Millie and their Manchester Paw-fect G&T
This dynamic duo is practically running things up at the now-famed Manchester Gin distillery, which Craft Gin Club members will remember from our April 2018 Gin of the Month. Always brimming with energy, they keep everyone busy and make sure no one misses their walkies.
They can’t wait for you to try their berry-licious, pink Manchester Gin Raspberry Infused with the delightfully herbaceous Navas Garden Tonic and the garnish of tangy kumquat slices. Yum! Here’s the recipe for this sumptuous serve:
50ml Manchester Gin Raspberry Infused Gin
200ml Navas Garden Tonic
Kumquat, to garnish
Add all of the ingredients to your glass with lots of ice and stir. Garnish, serve and enjoy!
Say a big “Hello!” to Hershey and his The River Test Paw-fect G&T
Hershey (this has to be best name ever for a chocolate lab!) is a big softy and oh-so-lovable! Head of HR, he always makes sure everybody at The River Test Distillery, on the picturesque banks of the River Test in Hampshire, has all the cuddles and kisses they need.
It’s that same love and care from everyone at The River Test Distillery that has led to such a special gin like The River Test Distillery Chalkstream Gold, which we sent to Craft Gin Club members in their March 2021 Gin of the Month box. The gin’s crisp, clean palate is the perfect match for the zesty of Artisan Amalfi Lime Tonic and the fragrance of the lime and cardamom garnishes is this magnificent serve:
50ml The River Test Distillery Chalkstream Gold
200ml Artisan Amalfi Lime Tonic
Lime and cardamom, to garnish
Add the ingredients to a glass with lots of ice and stir. Garnish, serve and enjoy!
Last but certainly not least, we have Hattie and her Pennington’s Paw-fect G&T
Still a puppy, Hattie is learning the ropes from her more experienced colleagues and her parents at Pennington’s Spirits & Liqueurs, whose Pennington’s Lakeland Moon Snowfell Gin was our January 2021 Gin of the Month! A very good girl, we are sure that she’s going to take the world by storm!
She can’t wait for you to try Pennington’s Lakeland Moon Snowfell Gin with Troughtons Premium Indian Tonic, garnished with orange and cinnamon - and neither can we!
50ml Pennington’s Lakeland Moon Snowfell Gin
200ml Troughtons Premium Indian Tonic
Orange and cinnamon, to garnish
Add all of the ingredients to your glass with lots of ice and stir. Garnish, serve and enjoy!
