Whilst this festive spirit is completely delicious served straight up over ice, we couldn't miss the opportunity to get our mixologist Maria to whip us up a decadent cocktail recipe fit for the holidays - you'll find us sipping one of these in between our third or fourth plate of Christmas dinner..
A flip is a classic cocktail containing egg or yolk, sugar and a spirit (in fact, Eggnog is just a variation of a flip that contains cream or milk.)
The Christmas Pudding liqueur infuses this creamy gin flip with rich notes of dried fruit, candied peel and spices, with an extra kick coming in from the brandy and a glug of cream to smooth it out. Move over dessert, we’ve got our cocktail shakers at the ready!
Christmas Pudding Flip
50ml Christmas Pudding Gin Liqueur
10ml Brandy
30ml Double Cream
1 egg (whole)
Grated nutmeg & orange peel, to garnish
Add all the ingredients into a shaker without ice and dry shake vigorously to aerate. Add ice and shake a second time to chill. Rub an orange peel around the rim of a glass goblet or coupe and discard, then strain your cocktail inside and grate a little nutmeg on top.
