With beautiful chocolate marshmallow coated in a layer of decadent chocolate, it is a chocoholic’s dream, especially when paired with our boozy, grown-up Double Chocolate Milkshake - served chilled, it’s the perfect way to get your chocolate fix in the garden this spring!
Double Chocolate & Gin Milkshake
This “milkshake” is actually just a very rich and luxurious take on a ginny Milk Punch (see below), with double chocolate ingredients for all those chocoholics out there: the cocoa liqueur and the cocoa powder. The cream and vanilla then give the cocktail a delectably smooth and silky texture that’s wonderfully moreish. We have garnished ours with marshmallows and chocolate sauce but you can get creative as you like with yours, as you would with a normal chocolate milkshake.
Ingredients
25ml gin
15ml creme de cacao liqueur
10ml Vanilla Syrup
50ml single cream
75ml milk
1tsp chocolate powder
Marshmallows and chocolate sauce, to garnish
Method
Add all the ingredients to a shaker with ice and shake well. Strain into a highball or any favourite milk glass - either with or without ice, as you prefer. Garnish and enjoy!
What is a Milk Punch?
A Milk Punch is a cocktail traditionally made with brandy or bourbon whisky, milk, sugar and vanilla. They are usually stirred together with ice and then strained over ice into a glass and garnished with a grating of fresh nutmeg. It’s a great alterative to Eggnog at Christmas if you don’t like egg but we love them at any time of the year.
