The ‘Bobby de Niro’ is an “apricot-flavoured twist on the classic Casino cocktail”, according to Difford’s Guide. A mouthwatering combination of sweet apricot jam, warming apricot brandy, gin and balanced with a little squeeze of tart lemon juice, it’s an easy cocktail recipe that’s the perfect pick-me-up on a cold night. We’re not sure why it’s named after the legendary actor, but we thank you, Bobby!
Bobby de Niro
1 spoon apricot jam
60ml gin (original recipe calls for Rutte Dry Gin)
7.5ml apricot brandy (original recipe calls for De Kuyper Apricot Brandy)
15ml freshly squeezed lemon juice
1 dash Angostura Orange Bitters
Stir the jam into the gin in a mixing glass until the jam has completely dissolved. Add the other ingredients and add to a shaker packed with ice. Strain into a chilled glass.
