The cocktail recipe below, the Apricot Blossom, is a light, fragrant and citrussy tipple that combines tart fruity flavours of fresh grapefruit and lemon with sticky-sweet honey, apricot jam, and a lovely base note of smooth, warming gin. Honestly, it’s going to transform your Saturday night (and Sunday, and… well, you get the picture). Chin chin!
Apricot Blossom
50ml gin
1 heaped tsp apricot marmalade
1tsp honey
¼ grapefruit, peeled
1 squeeze lemon juice
Basil, to garnish
Add your gin into a cocktail shaker. One by one, stir in your marmalade and honey until both are dissolved. Squeeze in your grapefruit and drop the flesh into the shaker; add your lemon juice and pack the shaker with ice. Shake and strain into a cocktail coupe. Garnish with basil and a twist of grapefruit.
