Maria, our Master Mixologist, was inspired to create this marvellous apple-flavoured martini by our March 2021 Gin of the Month, The River Test Distillery Chalkstream Gold. It’s a beautiful juniper-forward gin that really manages to capture the refreshingly herbaceous notes of its Hampshire countryside home by the River Test.
Full of apple, herb and juniper flavours, this is one fabulous cocktail.
Apple Martini
The herb and juniper notes of the gin work so well with the fragrant apple juice and zesty, tangy lemon in this cocktail. The Vanilla Syrup then adds a moreish base of sweet, mellow spice. One sip and you will be hooked.
Ingredients
50ml The River Test Distillery Chalkstream Gold
25ml apple juice
15ml lemon juice
15ml Vanilla Syrup
Apple slice, to garnish (optional)
Method
Add all your ingredients except your garnish to a shaker with ice and shake well. Strain into a Martini glass, garnish and serve.
