Absinthe and gin take this gorgeous cocktail to the next level!

This beautiful cocktail was created by the wonderful team at QVT Distillery, the gin-credible distillers behind our April 2021 Gin of the Month, QVT Dry Gin Édition CGC.

Bright and refreshing, this cocktail mixes the floral, herbaceous notes of our special Gin of the Month with absinthe, sumptuous cucumber and tongue-tingling hints of citrus fruit.

The “green fairy” makes a stunning partner to gin and the whole cocktail works so wonderfully as a way to transport yourself down to the sunny southern region of France that QVT Distillery calls home, Provence.

Ingredients

60ml QVT Dry Gin Édition CGC
3cm piece of cucumber
15ml absinthe
30ml lime or lemon juice (base on personal preference)
20ml simple syrup
Tonic, to top up
Lemon or lime wedges, cucumber ribbons and rosemary, to garnish

Method

Muddle your cucumber and absinthe in a cocktail shaker. Add your gin, lemon juice and simple syrup, along with ice. Shake and strain into a highball glass, then top up with tonic. Garnish and serve.
