Cocktail of the Week: Occitanian

From the master mixologists at Freud Bar in central London comes this beautiful, totally exclusive cocktail recipe – designed specifically to make our May 2017 Gin of the Month, Occitan London Dry Gin, sing.

The Occitonian is a gorgeous martini recipe that marries fresh cucumber flavours with those juniper-forward, herb, citrus and spice notes of the gin, which is made with wonderful botanicals from the mountainous Occitan Valleys of Northern Italy. The garnish of fresh rosemary and cucumber finish off the tipple wonderfully. It’s a must-try for any true gin connoissuer!



Occitanian

Occitanian Occitan Gin cocktail with cucumber and rosemary garnishes

45ml Occitan Gin
20ml fresh lemon juice
10ml sugar syrup
2 slices cucumber
Sprig of rosemary, to garnish
Slice of cucumber, to garnish

In a cocktail shaker, muddle the cucumber slices with the gin, lemon juice and sugar syrup. Add ice and shake well, then strain into a cocktail coupe or a martini glass. Garnish and serve. Enjoy!
