We're very excited to welcome January's Gin of the Month: Glendalough Distillery's brand new creation, WiId Botanical Gin! Members are loving this beauty, made with the freshly foraged botanicals of the wild Wicklow Mountains.
With the help of local forager, Geraldine Kavanagh, and master distiller Rowdy Rooney, the five city boys behind Glendalough Distillery started making incredible, seasonal gins based upon the botanicals that are in bloom throughout the county.
This month's Wild Botanical Gin is special: this all-year gin was created exclusively to capture the spirit of the area, and elements of all of the seasons. The result? A spectacular spirit built upon classic gin botanicals, with a wild touch.

Tasting Notes
The first gin to represent an entire year in beautiful Glendalough, the Garden of Ireland, on the nose this gin has fresh spring notes of juniper, citrus and pine. On the palate, it starts cool and mellow, then rushes to summer flowers in full bloom. Hints of autumn fruits give way to warm winter spices and a long, sylvan finish.
The Perfect G&T
The perfect Wild Botanical G&T can go one of two ways. Combine your Glendalough Wild Botanical Gin with a premium tonic – such as Poacher’s Irish Tonic – and garnish with either a mint sprig and orange slice or rosemary and a slice of pink grapefruit. Sláinte!
